I can’t say that I blame you. I play a pretty mean piano myself and have the music videos to prove it. I basically taught myself.
The question is…can I teach YOU how to play the piano? That’s a very good question, indeed.
Well, let me start by telling you what won’t be happening:
No reading music and no pointless gimmicks.
You see, when you boil it all down, playing the piano comes down to three very basic things:
What notes to play.
When to play them.
Which fingers to use.
I teach you that using the finger numbers method in the easiest key on the piano: “C”.
Since you probably already heard Amazing Grace, let’s check out another song:
Oh! Susanna (acoustic piano)
That version required one note at a time being played by the right hand and three to four notes being played at one time by the left hand.
Taking that same song, let’s drop all the notes on the left hand so we are playing single notes at a time, just like the right hand. Only, this time we’ll be using an electronic 61 keyboard.
Pretty cool, huh? But that’s not the only version that can be conjured up. There are a myriad number of ways to play that same song using only one note at a time per hand. In fact, I play Amazing Grace in one of my videos using three different accompaniments; gospel, samba, and boogie woogie! (Click “HOME” in menu)
We all know how spiritually corrosive this world can be; incessantly spewing its banal filth all over the place like some kind of noxious geyser. We all need a refuge from it. Music, real music, has always been such a spiritual refuge.
Would you be interested in learning how to do this yourself? I mean, why should I have all the fun, right?
